Rainer is a large subduction-related stratovolcano, part of the Cascade Range that extends from northern California (Lassen Peak) up into British Columbia (Mt. Garibaldi). Its height is 14,411 ft (4392 m), but it has a prominence of over 13,000 ft because the lowlands around it are near sea level. The prominent stream at the lower left is the White River.
