Wiggling Donkey Ears

Wiggling Donkey Ears
Uploaded for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of "Donkey Rides".
Perhaps the wiggly ears are making her laugh!
I think this is the only photo I have of a donkey.

Great smile and the rider looks happy too. Do you know if this is a US scene? I honestly can't recall ever encountering a donkey (excluding a few customers I once had). Mules, yes, but not donkeys. Sadly, no photos of either.

Hi Rick - Yes, definitely American - probably Vermont.
I agree though, I only have this one and I have quite a few of mules. I guess mules were more useful as farm animals.

Geez, I'm not even sure I can tell a mule from a donkey! I hope that the donkey I posted is actually a donkey! 8-)

Love the donkey's wiggling ears and the girl's sidesaddle pose!

I always think of the donkey as fairly compact, with shorter ears, less ungainly looking and extremely stubborn.
In contrast, mules are larger, gangly, uglier, longer ears, stupider, and sterile but easier to work with. I think they are also paler colored in general.
I might be wrong about this, though. : )
