"So Long, Dearie."
That's what my friend, Cheryl, is singing and this was taken just moments before she knocked our pineapple plant across the room with an exuberant sweep of her arms.
We LOVED that song - we substituted different names (guys in our lives) for "Horace" and sang "Springfield" instead of "Yonkers." (It's from the musical Hello, Dolly!)
We sang all the time - and we listened to an amazing variety of music - from scat, to soul, to regular popular, to folk, to show tunes etc ,etc.
We are 21 and this is the mid 70s. This was our first apartment together - city girls who had moved up to Vermont.
Very wild, fun times.
