Ceremonial Girl
Brought forward for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of: Canes, Batons, Spears, etc.
Somewhere in my house is a snapshot of a majorette with a baton, but I searched fruitlessly - so here's my already posted photo. (And a terrible scan. I'll re-do someday.)
This is a cabinet card from my collection of Vintage First Communion photos. The young girl is holding an elaborate candle holder as part of her costume. In the other hand she is holding a book - probably a bible.
There's something about this that looks Scandinavian but that's certainly only an impression.
I purchased this in Maine years ago, in an antique store.
On the back the print says:
Ad. Esselborn
Successor to H. Meez
Photographer
183 Essex Street
Corner Houston Street
New York
