Valérie Tual (1836-1883); French soprano.
She was a pupil of Marie Moreau-Sainti at the Conservatoire National de Paris, where in 1859 she won the “Prix du Conservatoire”. In 1860 she made her debut at the Opéra-Comique as Zerline in Auber’s “Fra Diavolo”. She created the rôle of Clairette in Poise’s “Le jardinier galant” (1861) and Casilda in Maillart's "Lara" (1864). From 1863-1868 she was engaged by the Théâtre-Lyrique, but after its closure she returned to the Opéra-Comique. In 1869 she sang at the première of Offenbach’s “Vert-Vert”.
