Several old western films were shot in and around Slide Rock State Park in Arizona and I know I saw this large rock in one of them.
One of these films "Gun Fury" even starred Rock Hudson if you want to work another pun in there.

Normally the wildfire sweeps through burning the grass and bushes and the Saguaro Cacti can still survive but this area burned so intensely that even the Saguaros didn't live.
