Holiday 2009 – 1920 Electric Freight Engine Be 6/8 II nr. 13254 Crocodile
In service from 1920 to 1982 with the SBB. Switzerland was early with the switch to electric because electric engines were more powerful on the mountain stretches and steam engine in tunnels weren't very handy.

Holiday 2009 – 1939 Electric double locomotive Ae 8/14 nr. 11852
Climbing the St. Gotthard Tunnel usually required two locomotives, so the Swiss Federal Railways made several powerful double engines. It had a power output of 8800 kW, the strongest engine of its day. The couplings of the wagons could not muster this force, so the maximum power output could not be used.
In service from 1939 to 1971. A fire in one of the transformers put an end to its working life.

Holiday 2009 – 1913 Electric engine Ge 2/4 nr. 207
In service with the Rhaetian Railway from 1913 until 1973.
A simple engine which transmits its power directly to the coupling rods, so that to gear drive is necessary. It was however a very inefficient engine.
Vmax 45 km/h and power output 220 kW.

In service between 1936 and 1968.

Compound engine, the last big Swiss steam engine. The Swiss switched to electric after this. In service from 1916 to 1964.
Power output 1090 kW, 4 steam cylinders, 2 high-pressure and 2 low-pressure. Vmax 65 km/h
