Berlin 2023 – Neues Museum – Johannes Freiherr von Diergardt
Johannes von Diergardt (1859–1934) was a collector of archeological objects from the Migration Period in Europe (early Dark Ages). He was a private man, often his contributions to museums were anonymous. He didn’t leave much written records of his finds, so the providence is not always known. His collection is now in Cologne, but temporarily in Berlin, because of renovation works in Cologne.
