Knossos 2021 – North Entrance with charging bull fresco
The ancient palace complex at Knossos dates from around 2000 BC, but there was human habitation for thousands of years. The palace was destroyed around 1370 BC. According to legend, king Minos lived in the palace. The complex was discovered and excavated by Arthur Evans, who also reconstructed some parts.
