Athens 2020 – Temple of Hephaestus
Building started in 449 BC and it was inaugurated in 416-415 BC. It also served as a church in later years, hence it rather well-preserved state.
The temple was dedicated to Hephaestus, the patron god of metal working, craftsmanship, and fire.
