Münster 2015 – St. Lamberti Church and Prinzipalmarkt
Above the clock there are three cages. These were used to display the dead bodies of John of Leyden, Bernhard Knipperdolling and Bernhard Krechting, the leaders of the Münster Anabaptist Rebellion in 1534–1536.
Münster is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. In 793 Charlemagne ordered that an school and monastery should be built on the banks of the River Aa. This grew out to the city of Münster. It became famous for many things, for instance the Münster Anabaptist Rebellion in 1534–1536 and the Peace of Westphalia in 1648.
