Gates at Leiden Station

Dutch public transport is preparing itself for a new electronic ticket in the form of a card. It replaces the train ticket and the famous "strippenkaart" for bus, metro and tram. You have to use the card to gain access to the station and the platform. So long as the card is not in operation, the gates are open.
