I never saw much of my grandparents growing up, but my mother's mother would write to us frequently. Some of the jewlery pictured was given to me via mail by her when I was a child, and I still have have most of it. The colored vases were hers, too. The dried flower bouquet in the blue one was what I held while being escorted down the aisle during my daughter's wedding ceremony. So really, three generations are represented in this picture. Ah, the circle of life...

So, here's to Pinocchio!

We woke up this morning to the results of last night's freezing rain. Signs of life persist while entombed in the form of buds on the branches. Weather forcasts for our area (the East Coast of the US) calls for another winter storm by the weekend. This has been the snowiest winter since I was a kid in the 1960s!

The 1-10 Colorwheel Project: White My final photo of the set is from my archive of favorites. This is what I woke up to one morning last winter. I always love how shadows play over the snow.

The biggest snowfall of the year for East Coast United States has just begun. Predicted snowfall: 8"-12" inches by tomorrow. Snow blower's ready! :D

Thought I would play around with the camera since we have the first sunshine in days! This winter has been a dismal season for me to take good photos, especially since I have not mastered photo taking in artificial light yet :(
