What I wore

I've just completed Christine's 21 Days of Dresses Challenge, and here's the full set of photos showing what I wore. It was fun! I made this dress from a thrifted bedsheet, and wore it to a spring brunch today. No pattern--front and back are identical, I made up something for the sleeves. The lace at the neckline is from my grandmother's stash of notions.

I've taken a break from All the Skirts in my Closet because a lot of my clothes are packed (we got new carpeting). But while I was unpacking and sorting boxes, I found a dress I forgot about--the dark green dress I'm wearing here. It's comfortable, but the clingy fit doesn't make me sing. So I tried layering a blouse over it. I like the results. The dress goes back into my closet. Day 40 of "All the Skirts in my Closet." This photo was taken at Cal State Long Beach; I brought daughter and a friend to Girl Scout Day at the Pyramid, where we watched the women's basketball game.
