Nelson’s Monument, Derbyshire

Nelson’s Monument, Derbyshire
This 11' high gritstone column stands on top of Birchen Edge in the Derwent Valley, 1,000ft above sea level. It was erected in 1810 in honour of Nelson following his victory and death at the Battle of Trafalgar.

Steve Bucknell, Nouchetdu38, William Sutherland and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Yes there is, and we walked past it as well. Pity it was so grey and dull yesterday.
