This is very nice, though I could have done with a bit more sky, in fact a bit more all round.
Was there more space on the original?

I have happy memories of coming here with a friend when we were both fifteen.
No-one else about: just walked in on our own and really got the feel of the place.

1. No; I compose my pictures in-camera, and don't normally need to crop them afterwards.

2. I'm surprised that you didn't get arrows fired at you from the battlements, or worse, that you and your friend weren't captured by a knight, dragged into the castle and taken advantage of. That happened a lot in the olden days.
