I can't remember if I did or not - haha.

(And I was just playing around with the word "have" as it is used here in the "command" form - I know it is supposed to be pleasant and not commanding, but, well, language. It is a shortening of "I hope you have a good day" - but the shortening places into the a command state. I know, I know, but it's one of those wierd things that sometimes bug me. In a lighthearted way.)

Well, if that bugs you, Laura, then the German language would bug you even more. If someone asks for directions and instead of saying...turn right at the next corner, then walk straight ahead for 20 m, and then take a left turn into the street in front of the little bridge...in German it's perfectly legitimate to say...you MUST turn right and then you MUST walk straight ahead and then you MUST turn left...!!!
Now how does that sound for being ordered around, lol?! So never ever ask for directions in Germany, use any technical gadget instead or keep walking around in circles (or in the wrong direction) ;-)))
