Das Frontportal des sog. "Neuen" Rathauses in Hannover, eine Stadt, die sich goldene Rathaustüren leisten kann. ;-) Wie sagte nämlich der damalige Stadtdirektor Tramm zu Kaiser Wilhelm II., der eigens zur Einweihung am 20. Juni 1913 angereist war: "Zehn Millionen Mark, Majestät – und alles bar bezahlt." ### The front portal of the so-called "New" Town Hall in Hannover, a city that can afford golden town hall doors. ;-) As the then city director Tramm said to Emperor Wilhelm II, who had travelled especially to the inauguration on 20 June 1913: "Ten million marks, your majesty - and all paid for in cash."

Eine kleine Picknickgruppe nahe einem naturgeschützten Teich im Süden von Hannover freut sich auf Besucher. (P1030986) A small picknick area near a nature-protected pond in the south of Hannover is looking forward to visitors.

Mein erstes Foto in der gerade entdeckten Gruppe "Happy Bench Monday"! Tolle Idee für eine Gruppe, Bänke habe ich schon immer gerne fotografiert. Das Einstellen in die Gruppe kommt leider etwas spät, da nach dem Upload gestern (Montag) Abend meine Internetverbindung gestört war. Ich hoffe, das wird für den Start von den Admins noch akzeptiert. Das Foto zeigt Sitzbänke in den Herrenhäuser Gärten in Hannover, die strahlend auf "Be-Sitzende" warten (P1030934-2) --- My first photo in the just discovered group "Happy Bench Monday"! Great idea for a group, benches I have always loved to photograph. My posting in the group comes unfortunately a little late, because after the upload yesterday (Monday) evening my internet connection was disturbed. I hope that is still accepted by the admins for the start. The photo shows "shiny" benches in the Herrenhäuser Gardens in Hannover/Germany.

Heute ein traditionelles Zaunbild - der Brunnen am Holzmarkt vor dem Leibnizhaus in Hannover. Teil einer längeren Serie, wie dieser Brunnen vor den nahen und unruhigen Hintergründen ringsumher am besten in Szene zu setzen ist. Brennweite und Blende hilft nur bedingt, am besten war das Licht zur richtigen Zeit, das den Brunnen vor dem Hintergrund heraushebt. Leider ist genau das Foto nicht gut gelungen, daher hier nun Brunnen und Häuser in praktisch gleicher Deutlichkeit. Objektiv war vermutlich ein altes Minolta MD f2.8/28mm, daher keine EXIF-Daten. (DSC01424-2) ### Today a traditional fence picture - the fountain at Holzmarkt in front of Leibnizhaus in Hannover. Part of a longer series on how best to stage this fountain in front of the close and unsettled backgrounds all around. Focal length and aperture only help to a certain extent, the best thing was the light at the right time, which makes the fountain stand out against the background. Unfortunately, exactly that photo did not turn out well, so here now are the fountain and houses in practically equal clarity. Lens was probably an old Minolta MD f2.8 / 28mm, so no EXIF data.

Der ist schon mal nicht am Zaun hängengeblieben - hat ja auch zwei Tragflächen...

Hier ist viel Erleuchtung möglich und wer zu tief fliegt, verheddert sich im Zaun. ;-) Es handelt sich um die "Befeuerung", wie in der Fachsprache die Beleuchtung von Flughäfen heisst, der südlichen Landebahn des Flughafens Hannover. (IATA-Code: HAJ. Der Legende nach soll das J eine Reverenz an den Hannoveraner Karl Jatho darstellen, dem einige der ersten Flughüpfer der Luftfahrtgeschichte nachgesagt werden). PG915498wrk ### A lot of enlightenment is possible here, and anyone who flies too low gets tangled up in a fence. ;-) It is the "Befeuerung" (firing), as the lighting of airports is called in Germany, of the southern runway of Hanover Airport. (IATA code: HAJ. Legend has it that the J is a tribute to Karl Jatho from Hannover, who is said to have made some of the first flight jumps in aviation history).

Unser Saurier hier hatte kürzlich Besuch von Heidiho ( Neulich in Hannover ... ) und Ecobird machte sich Sorgen, ob man ihm wohl nachts begegnen könne. Aber das ist kein Problem, er ist eher schüchtern und sogar ein bisschen kindisch, denn er denkt, wenn es dunkel ist und er den Kopf in den Blättern versteckt, sieht man ihn nicht. An den Besuch von Heidiho erinnert er sich gut und ist sehr stolz darauf, in einer weltweiten Fotocommunity abgebildet zu sein. ;-) ### Our dinosaur here recently had a visit from Heidiho ( Neulich in Hannover ... ) and Ecobird was worried about whether one might see him at night. But that's not a problem, he's rather shy and even a little childish, because he thinks that if it's dark and he hides his head in the leaves, you won't see him. He remembers Heidiho's visit well and is very proud to be featured in a worldwide photo community. ;-)

Es geht wieder los, die Kultur und die Nacht kommen zurück, heute öffnet nach 7,5 Monaten Shutdown das Kulturzentrum Pavillon in Hannover wieder! Ob es aber je wieder so werden wie auf dem Foto vom Masala-Festival 2019, werden wir noch sehen. Derzeit gilt Abstand, Maske, negativer Test. Den Sound dazu liefert - wie bizarr! - eine Gruppe namens " Corona" ;-)

Da ich am heutigen Freitag etwas spät dran bin, habe ich einen passenden Late-Night-Zaun ausgesucht. Es ist ein ganz besonderer Zaun aus Strandkörben: Er bildet die Begrenzung des Open Air "Konzerthauses" im Kurpark von Norderney, um den Zutritt unter Corona-Bedingungen kontrollieren zu können. Normalerweise ist das offen und jede/r kann zuhören. Ich mag die erwartungsfrohe Haltung der "Konzertsitze" und darüberhinaus, was moderne Digitalkameratechnik möglich macht: Die Aufnahme erfolgte mit ISO 51200 und ist nur wenig nachgeschärft. ### Since I'm a little late this Friday, I have chosen a suitable late-night fence. It is a very special fence made of beach chairs: It forms the boundary of the open-air "concert hall" in the spa gardens of the island of Norderney in order to be able to control access under corona conditions. Usually this is open and everyone can listen. I like the expectant attitude of the "concert seats" and also what modern digital camera technology makes possible: The photo was made with ISO 51200 and has only been slightly sharpened.

Wer schon bei der Heirat Wind und Wetter trotzt, der/die übersteht die Stürme einer Ehe umso besser!? Das kann man am Strand-Standesamt auf Norderney ausprobieren. Übrigens ein echter HFFF, das Foto ist an einem Freitag entstanden. :-) (P1032069) ##### Who defies wind and weather at marriage ceremony will survive the storms of marriage all the better!? You can try that out at the beach registry office on the Norderney island. The sign says: "Marriage, please do not disturb." By the way, it's a real HFFF, the photo was taken on a Friday. :-)
