Halloween street theatre

Halloween street theatre
Out and about around Huddersfield with 50mm lens on my camera. I was surprised how unaccustomed I was with the field of view that this lens gives you.

One of three images of a Halloween procession that was making its way through the shopping centre.

Luc Reiniche, Phil Sutters, Colin Ashcroft have particularly liked this photo

Yes, using any fixed lens on a SLR nowadays is a rarity. Your statement here cannot be fully realised unless we know if you are using a crop-factor camera sensor or a full size sensor. I use the crop factor Nikon DX series and I must admit that 50mm is hardly ever used through my two zoom lens which cover that length. I tend to use them near max or min zoom. I do have a fixed 35mm crop fixed lens (Nikon DX) which is almost equivalent to the old film SLR 35mm lens. Its small and a most wonderful piece of glass -but do I ever user it? - only about a dozen captures since I got it some seven years back.
Anyway -nothing wrong with this capture.at all. Great work.-

Cheers, Herb
