Driving from Bristol to Stonehenge, we came along many small towns with houses like this. And I always felt that, with a license plate exposing us as bloody foreigners, somewhere inspector Barnaby might stop us for questioning...

Inspector Barnaby usually finds that it was one of the 'locals' that committed the crime - not you 'bloody foreigners'. Welcome to England. I used to live in the part of England between Bristol and Stonehenge, It is a lovely part of the country, but I ended up in London all my working life.
