Wow!! What a wonderful image, Fred! Thank you for your note so I was prompted to visit and saw this picture. There is so much to this photograph that I love. Your low angle shows the world from the poppy's perspective, looking up at the world around it. The beauty of its lovely, transluscent red petals are wonderful to see, and the delicacy of this fragile blossom is evident too.

I love the point of view so much. Something so pretty at the side of the road, and a carpet of pretty daisies line the edge, showing fields of green beyond.

Drama above!! That black cloud is so ominous and yet, blazing out in gorgeous rays. The sun bounces off the edge of the cloud with orange-tinting to show us that even something so full of murkiness has something pretty just waiting to show itself. I love that, other than the menacing cloud overhead, the sky is blue and dappled with puffy clouds to appreciate. And finally, the town in the distance is inviting and a reminder that lovely countryside is just outside its borders. :)

Ik ben erg blij te horen dat het geen blikseminslag is geworden. De cloudformaties zijn echt goed, vooral met de gemarkeerde cloud. Ik hou wel van de single poppy op de voorgrond.
