I saw a sad TV report yesterday about a general lockdown in your country.

Yes Léopold. As far I learned, the very first settlement here was called Wright town, after its founder. Then it became Hull, the island is still called so. In 2002 it merged with, and in a certain sense to Gatineau. Hull was the older one, but the name should sound french - what could be more 'unfrench' than Hull ... ;-? Every region its own problem. Ours is an exploding number of people suffering from covid and be in need of intensive care. Fortunately I do not have a tele, so I only have little pictures of what is going on. But I heard on radio the other day a leading person of a hospital in Upper Austria. And it was more than desperate and dramatic, what she was saying. But it was almost the same, what was said a fortnight before, and again a fortnight before. Less dramatic, less desperate maybe, but exactly that what happens now! No one obviousely is able to handle the situation, neither the individual person, nor somewhat you would call authority. Everybody is looking for his/her small advantage and always stumples a step behind what actually should be. And this may the actuell problem, we face, and it becomes bigger and bigger.
Well Léopold, I am afraid, it is only the starter, we get served right now. And I hope, I am already old enough to miss out the main course.
The German say: the situation is serious, but not hopeless
As far I know Britains, they would say: the situation is neither serious, nor hopeless
Here in Austria the motto is: the situation is hopeless, but not serious.

Best regards across the Big Water.
