Farol do Cabo Carvoeiro / Cape Carvoeiro Lighthouse
The lighthouse in this cape is one of six lighthouses built by a Pombaline Permit of February 1, 1758, which created the lighthouse service in Portugal, making it one of the oldest still in operation. This lighthouse consists of a quadrangular masonry tower, located 57 meters above sea level and 27 meters high. The light from this lighthouse has a range of 15 nautical miles (approximately 28 km).
