The flowers, especially the daffodils, stood up very well to the high winds and rain through the night, which is more than I can say for the poor rose arch! (See PiP). The rose that climbs the arch was unfortunately broken off at the root. I will take some cuttings and hope for the best.

Good morning Peter. I haven't checked today, but I think the rose broke right at ground level. I'll leave it a while and see what happens. It has sentimental value, so I hope it does sprout a new shoot. I have an idea to replace the rose arch....I will reveal if it works :-) The other side of the arch is honeysuckle. Sunday greetings.
