This enormous marquee just fitted on the front lawn widthwise the entire width of the lawn in between hedges and as long as the house. It was a very hot afternoon followed by a chilly evening when we put more sections to fill the gaps in the walls and turned on the heaters suspended on the roof framework,
It was a successful event

This man used to live aboard the canal boat moored up behind him just along the canal. He used to fed all of the local water fowl including Harry the Heron who used to call each day for breakfast, lunch & tea.
Sadly he died around three years ago, the boat got moved and the birds are back to relying upon nature and their own wits.
He was a delightful man with an equally delightful wife..
