A most unusual capture Peter. He almost looks like a dressed up 'wax-dummy' here but I am sure he was alive enough. A fine reading stand too. Well done.

Of course you are right, a model from the Ottoman civilisation. Libraries are so different everywhere these days, but how long do we need them for, I wonder. As you know, scanned copies of many old books on philosophy, mathematics, etc, can be downloaded from the internet.
What will the future bring!
