Hi Sarah,

Thank you so much!

This was from the same weekend as www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/49295848 and www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/49364454 . In this case the little girl seemed very happy to be dressed up, and visiting the windmill with her parents!

Best wishes

I agree with Sarah here Peter a lovely shot indeed and certainly fantastic period costumes .. from this slightly lower angle it certainly looks like the hight of the sails from the ground could have proven an issue for people waring tall Red hats on a mill working day

Best wishes .. Steve

Hi Steve

Your visit is most welcome! Thank you!

As I said to Sarah, this was from the same medieval weekend as www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/49295848 and www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/49364454 . The buildings on the site are all genuine historic, not not neccesserily medieval. In the case of this windmill, you are right about the sails, they do come very low to the ground, but I guess they didn't have elf n safety back then!

Hi Nick..

Very interesting observation! Thank you!
But I do wonder if the people have gone back a lot more than the mill, and so are maybe looking into the future..

Best Wishes

Obviously the land owner and mill owner and his family have come to collect rent money from the poor miller. I can see he's got his purse belt at the ready. ;-)

Thank you Rosa

Glad you like it. This is a 'living museum' with many old buildings on site, from all different places and ages. The dressing up game is part of a medieval weekend, as I said to Sarah and Steve above.

Thank you so much Bea

Certainly a picture to get the imagination going!!
The vivid costumes of the day were great fun, although the weather could have been better.
I am sure the little girl went home very happy at the end of the weekend!
