When I arrived there I could see a bright light at the end of the tunnel. I took many pictures as it came closer, and finally emerged. I am glad you like the one I chose!!

Is that the entrance to the tunnel we just see in the distance!? I have to say I don't like going through the long tunnels but I certainly like your picture. It is beautifully captured.
Best wishes, Rosa.

You are right, there is light at the end of the tunnel..
This boat will now have to continue through 30 locks (the longest lock flight in Britain) to get to Stoke Wharf.
Best Wishes,
Peter
Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Peter_Private_Box clubWell, I have learned something, as I thought the Caen Hill locks on the K&A in Devizes was the longest, but they have just 29 locks!
Best wishes, Rosa.

Glad you like it.
This kind of boat was our means of transporting goods before the railways came. Generally known as 'Narrow Boats' they were built to a standard size to fit the locks, but are now mostly used for leisure.
Best Wishes,
Peter
All the best Rog.

Glad you like it.
When I arrived on the canal bank I could just see a bright light shining through the tunnel, so I waited, taking a picture every couple of minutes, until the boat began to emerge, then of course a whole string of pictures to pick from!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
