Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for the thought here!!
Interestingly, the official English warning sign for "Level crossing without barrier or gate ahead" is still a steam locomotive, very similar to this one.
Maybe one day, when all the diesel fuels have been banned, then steam locomotives will return!

Have a great weekend!

Best Wishes
Peter

Hi Peter !

Deeply charmed by this masterly image so deep in its perspective and nonetheless so perfectly and neatly detailed : the viaduct and the train and its stream of white smoke against the dark grey ski at the end of the green field where a solitary gentleman in fully immersed in catching a photo..
Terrific mood , too

I missed it last Friday, and I 'm really sorry about it:But now I'm greatly enjoying it!!!
Best wishes, Bea

Hi Steve,

Thank you for visiting. I am pleased that you like this view. When I arrived there, I tried the field we went to, but the view was very misty, and shooting directly into the sun. After going all that way, I figured it too risky, so looked for a different place.

Best wishes

Hi Bea,

Thank you for your visit, and such well thought out words!! This viaduct is one of the longest in England, and very many people came to see this excursion train cross it. Only one gentleman got in this picture, but there were a lot of people who didn't!!
I am so glad that you like it!!

Best wishes
Peter
