certainly looks like no shortage of snow and the trains here still run :))
Best wishes ... Steve
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteThank you for your very quick visit, and appreciation. Of course this is Switzerland, so we don't get excuses here about 'wrong kind of snow' and 'leaves on the track'. Also worth noting that this is purely adhesion worked, and with some steep gradients too,
Best Wishes
Peter
But of course this is Switzerland!!
A wonderful picture !!

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to gezginruh clubThank you so much! Your visit and kind words have made me happy!!
It is hard to believe that so much snow could be there in April, and even harder to believe that the trains keep running. But, as you say, this is Switzerland......!!!
Love Peter

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubGlad you like it. Certainly makes it worthwhile to trek through the deep snow to find the tunnel mouth!

Best wishes, Rosa.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne clubAs you know, I certainly like the trains too, but combined with snow there is so much more to go at. Many more will follow !!
Best Wishes

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Tractacus clubThis is what I went to see, so I am pleased that you like it!
Best Wishes, and a good weekend!

Cheers, Herb
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Herb Riddle clubI am so pleased that you like the composition. It makes all the planning worthwhile.
Of course to get shots like this you must get off the train and do a little walking, but you would get lots of nice pics from the Bernina express shown here..
Best Wishes
Peter
Herb Riddle club has replied to Peter_Private_Box clubps I have now added special PiP for you in my 'Rouen Cathedral' shot. Herb
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Herb Riddle clubI certainly agree that the older locomotives look nicer! The Bernina express will appear in a number of Swiss photos soon, just as soon as I get round to processing them! Then maybe your Switzerland trip idea will emerge again! (I have a Switzerland album to make it easy...)
I also spent a long time pondering the PiP and perspective correction geometry. Thank you for the food for thought!
Best Wishes
Peter
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Alan Drury clubYour visit is most welcome. I remember reading something about how they make an exhibition of their rotary snow plough at work here. Certainly very necessary! Against the side of the road the snow was twice my height!
Best Wishes

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Gudrun clubYour visit is most welcome. Thank you.
I am so happy that you like the scene.
In fact, no need to get out of the train, the road is there!!
Best Wishes, a good weekend, and keep safe!!
