Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne clubConsidering that it was quite dark by this time, I am very happy that you like the result!
Best Wishes
Peter
it passed through Granthan on transit and readyness for the trip but i did not see it listed in time
Best wishes ... Steve
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteThank you for your appreciation. It was a choice between going further out towards Norwich and getting it in daylight, or not go so far and get it in the dark. I figured this location would be a reasonable compromise, and take it almost head on to reduce the apparent movement in the frame... I am pleased that you think it worthy!!
Best Wishes
Peter
Cheers Herb
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Herb Riddle clubI am pleased that you have appreciated the technical merit here. As the Exif says, 1/15 sec to capture a picture of an express train, and yes it was dark! As you know, I do have other pictures of the Flying Scotsman, eg www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/43240820 , so I went for a different approach this time, and exactly as you noticed, made the headlight the focal point (as it shines brightly in the dark),
Best Wishes
Peter
What a beautiful shot!! And yes very nice reflections in the rails...

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to gezginruh clubThank you so much for visiting, it is almost as if we were watching it together, just like at Severn Valley last year, and maybe even darker than the field at Eardington!
I am so pleased that you like it.
Love Peter
