Thank you so much! Of course the fence was deliberate!! This was taken from the trackbed of the old Croesor tramway, which is now a public footpath. The use of slate waste for fences was very common on mine railways, for obvious reasons!!

Thank you so much, and thank you for your information on the language. Remembering that the English we use now comes from the Vikings, and in years before the language used was similar to the Brittany language of today, you can see the roots of many Welsh words.
