The part of historic St Gallen is covered by a rubberised red tennis-court coating, with in-situ outdoor-furniture-like chairs, sofas and tables – even a car.
The public lounge was created by Pipilotti Rist and Carlos Martínez .

Thank you so much for your visit and the awards. The “city lounge” covering several hundred square meters is opened In November 2005.
Pipilotti Rist and Carlos Martinez!
Their bold approach, created spaces to meet, play, relax, and even park your bikes and cars !
