The first in a series to come of GREAT fences!
I have been bemoaning the lack of fences in my gallery because of their absence where I go walking (Central Spain and Cornwall). Then, suddenly, on my walk last weekend, I saw the light! The fences had been there all the time!! More fences in fact than I could ever have dreamed of! I just hadn't recognised them as such! But they are; and superb specimens as you will see (and here too!) :o)))
I'm rather fond of this oak tree as well! Taken from the Roman Road again.
North Cliffs from The Knavocks. For Pam.

A great sky. The Godrevy coast is behind me and North Cliffs stretch ahead to St Agnes. Hell's Mouth is in the mid distance. I have just about run out of my 2018 summer shots from Cornwall and, although I still have a few more from the archives, I would dearly love to get some more this year!

From my flat at that time. Hortaleza, Madrid.
For Pam.
On reflection, I've posted a few sunrise (and fewer sunset) shots over the years but I think this has to be my favourite!

I used to get some good sunrises from one flat and good sunsets from my next flat. Now I get nothing at all (but a far nicer flat!).
Sight and sound. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQhGVnfU1XU
(a re-mastered version and an improvement on the original, I think. Not the greatest of their songs but it goes well with Peter Castell´s comment!)
From Tubby's Head to St Agnes Head. For Pam.

Granite cliffs, a turquoise and blue sea and waves breaking on the rocks with a splash. Oh, and sun!! (A winning combination but not always seen together in Cornwall!)

North Cliffs, Cornwall ... on a blowy and cool summer's day. When the sun broke through the clouds though, the effect was magical!
Sight and Sound:
Just saw in today's Times obit pages that Tony Joe White
passed away recently. Have always loved his music and this is an all time classic, covered by so many more famous names.
I love the story of when Tina Turner (who covered many of his songs) - and I quote direct from the Times obituary - met him face-to-face; "I walked into her dressing room and she was putting on her make-up,' White recalled. 'She looked into the mirror and started laughing. I thought, 'Are my pants un-zipped or something?' Finally she got her breath and said, 'I'm sorry, man, I always thought you were a black man' "

Sunset, taken from a former flat (on the 11th floor and sunrises and sunsets were frequently seen).
South West Peninsula Coast Path

Close to the edge!! The path is fairly new in this shot and it used to be where there is now nothing but fresh air!!! Google maps show this path but has the arrows going straight over the edge! Above Basset Cove, North Cliffs, Cornwall; another for Pam!

Collapsed sea caves.
Probably when the legend of Ralph (a Cornish giant) and his cupboard (to store his stolen booty from shipwrecks) was first told, these really were sea caves and the word 'cupboard' made sense. ... Just guessing!
