The Sea and Bosigran Cliffs are behind me. I'm looking inland towards Carn Galva. Please see notes.

There is a red breed called Cornish Choughs Andy. The ponies in your picture look very similar to Dartmoor ponies. A lovely scene with great information.

Indeed, Rosa and I saw a pair on the cliffs at Gurnard's Head some years ago, soon after they were re-introduced and it was quite exciting!
And I think you're right about Dartmoor ponies.

A lovely view over the wall Andy..............and an area with a significant amount of history attached, thank for sharing the details in the notes.

Lovely looking ponies..............but I have no idea what breed,

Brilliant picture here Andy. I think as far as the name is concerned - don't forget that there were some people who couldn't spell, yet they were responsible for telling the history etc about the area. Hence different spellings. As for the ponies - they look like Dartmoor ponies but I don't know how far you were from Dartmoor!!!!

Andy Rodker club has replied to Jenny McIntyre club
I know they did introduce Dartmoor ponies at various sites in Cornwall and so I'd go with that, Jenny!

Hi Andy
I like this picture very much!
It is a very different and exciting composition, and a very substantial wall too.
Unfortunately I can't help with the horses!

Best Wishes, HWW,, and stay safe!!

ººº+++Thank you, everyone and great comments from you as ever! I think I'll go with Dartmoor ponies as Jenny suggested, and as I recall they were introduced at various places in Cornwall some years back and I remember seeing them in the late '90s.+++ººº
