I LOVE MUM'S GARDEN SO MUCH !

BUT THIS WAS TAKEN IN MY BROTHER'S GARDEN NEAR PERRANPORTH.
HE BOUGHT A HOLIDAY / FUTURE RETIREMENT HOME THERE A FEW YEARS AGO WHICH THEY LET OUT.
MY SISTER AND HER FAMILY STAYED THERE A WEEK OR SO AGO IN ORDER TO VISIT MY AGEING PARENTS WHO LIVE 5 MILES AWAY. I COULDN'T GO WITH THEM UNFORTUNATELY AND IT HAS NOW BEEN 4 YEARS SINCE I WAS ABLE TO TRAVEL AND SEE THEM! MY SISTER TOOK THIS SHOT WHILE THEY WERE THERE - THEIR FIRST STAY IN CORNWALL FOR A FEW YEARS; WE USED TO GET TO GO TO CORNWALL AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR BUT THAT DRIED UP THROUGH COVID AND IT'S SAD HOW ISOLATED SOME PEOPLE BECAME.

I hope to visit my parents later in the year all things being well. However, they live in a fairly isolated village and, thanks to Brexit and ill health, as of 2 days ago, I have neither a British nor a Spanish driving licence. And in any case until I get my cataracts done and glasses prescribed, it would be foolish of me to drive anyway!

Nothing has been easy this past few years...........you of course will know this much better than me. Best of luck though.

I would say "things can only get better" but I said that last year and look how 2022 is turning out so far!

What beautiful flowers, Andy. I do completely understand how hard it has been for you not to be able to see your family for so long. With you being so very ill, and still recovering - it's no wonder you haven't gone back to Cornwall for a visit. My daughter has come for a quick visit and having not seen her for 3 years, it's absolutely wonderful hearing her voice and having a hug.

My sister doesn't have much time for photos, what with two increasingly infirm parents, a handicapped son and an irresponsible husband to oversee on the trip to Cornwall!!!

Straightaway I could tell that this wasn't taken in Spain. I'm sure when you see spring beauty like this you have a hankering to be back in England, Andy. ;-)

You might think so, Amelia (and in many ways you'ld be right), but the spring flower show in the mountains of Central Spain can be utterly spectacular. I enjoy both in their different ways!
