A lovely silver / pewter quality here. Andy. I love the ripples on the sea, and of course the General. Who hold his bath towel? ;-)

That I wouldn´t know Amelia but I do know this story, thanks to Roy Jenkins' excellent biography of Churchill. Apparently Churchill had to fit his bath into his morning routine come what may and that sometimes meant fitting meetings into his busy wartime schedule at such a time. General de Gaulle insisted on an urgent meeting one morning and had to be content with watching Churchill have his bath while relaying his point of extreme national (Free French) import. The General's first reaction was to reach for Churchill's bath robe to wrap around him, assuming he would be getting out of his bath to have the meeting.
Not a bit of it.
Viewing the General's obvious discomfort, Churchill said, "The prime minister of Great Britain has nothing to hide from the leader of the Free French!"

Love the story ... one I had not heard !

I'd heard it as with Roosevelt!

I think it's one of those apocryphal stories that can be adjusted to suit whoever!
