I just liked the lines of the arches here!
And the yellow platform edging.

Roger (Grisly), Giancarlo Ticozzi, Fred Fouarge, Sami Serola (inactive) and 11 other people have particularly liked this photo

The reflection of that person on bottom right corner is a bonus! And indeed a lot of interesting details and lines for the eyes to follow.

Many thanks, Sami.
One thing that concerned me then, as it concerns me now (although I don't lose sleep over it) is my use of a frame. When I first started experimenting with an editing tool (Picasa 3 because it was free - it is still the only one I use), I was like a child in a sweet shop with an unlimited budget! After a month or too I settled down and used more restraint. But I post some older shots now and can't now reverse some of the editing changes I made then. What is your view on framing such as this for this type of shot?

I say added frames is of course a matter of taste ;-) But it also depends much on the context!

First of all, I prefer white web page background, and I hope it will be kept this way here at ipernity. I have started to add similar frames especially because of the white background. Frames sometimes gives nice "posture" to the images. I'm not sure if that is a right choice of word, but I mean the frame makes the image stand out nicely.

Then what comes this particular frame, I do like to choose similar double frames, which works also on the black background.

And finally I see frames as sort of a "copyright statement" ;-) It says: "Yes, you can steal my image if you can, but I have the original" =P
