HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!
Rock window (perhaps hopefully onto a brighter future for us all?).
The way I took (not a path at all really) went under this rock. Very common to have a giant boulder wedged over a gully in granite country!
Granite forms on Pena del Tejo, a little to one side of La Sierra de La Cabrera proper but terrific scrambling territory in its own right. Indeed I spent a whole day here, intending to move on to the main ridge but finding a day's worth of interest at this place, including the mountain stream close-ups I sometimes post. photo taken 2012 and first posted on ipernity in 2017.

Andy Rodker club has replied to Sarah O' clubA NICE and relaxing weekend, mainly catching up on ipernity, some housework, shopping, that sort of thing. Will walk round to my girlfriend's place soon and we'll go for a walk this evening. The weather has been fabulous these past few weeks - between 25 and 30C (I guess that must be somewhere between 75 and 85F) and with pleasantly mild nights! In fact October records have been broken everywhere in Spain!).

Yup they do!
slgwv club has replied to Andy Rodker clubIn American spelling you treat final "l" like final "r"--it's doubled only if the last syllable is stressed. Hence "controlled" but "traveling." Just like (say) "delivered" vs. "occurred."
So, there actually _is_ a rationalization-- ;)
