La glycine n’est pas très élégante Quand elle étale ses branches décharnées Sur le mur gris ou le vieux treillage Elle semble triste et abandonnée
Mais quand vient le printemps, elle se réveille Et se pare de mille fleurs mauves Qui pendent en grappes odorantes Et font la joie des abeilles et des oiseaux
La glycine est alors magnifique Elle illumine le jardin de sa beauté Elle offre son parfum délicat Et sa douceur à qui veut l’admirer
