Landscapes in Colour
Ersfjord Blue
So problem, what to upload next. I decided to stay in the neighborhood. Ersfjord, a popular site for locals and tourists, in winter and summer, during day and night...
Only about half an hour driving from Tromsø
This image is taken on a day with high pressure, meaning that it is cold with a clear sky and crisp colours. I hope you enjoy this fjordscape that is my second most popular image on Panoramio but most viewed there.

Ersfjord Fall
I could not resist. After the warm welcome at Ipernity I'll like to treat you with a colourful image. It is one of my favorite spots close to Tromsø. This time not in blue but in orange shades. The picture is taken from a bit higher elevation. In the fall one can often observe red and orange colours in the evening.

Nordic Spring - Emerge
I never heard about it before, Perhaps not strange as a newcomer to Ipernity. HFF seems to mean Happy Fence Friday. Last Spring I found myself a fence and it almost did not make it through the winter... Anyway, HFF wishes and please can some one enlighten me!

Autumn Impression..
A northern Norwegian impression of autumn. Next; winter around the corner. This is the same place as my previous upload. The fence posts are still standing, But the function is a question mark. In this image the atmosphere is the main element. This in contrast to the previous image were the composition and lines are most important. In other words same place but another view.

Evening Panorama
This must be my last autumn mood upload for this year. And I'll keep it simple with only colour and silhouettes. We move a fjord to the north and a little higher up. At this particular time of the year the sun is only peeping over the mountain for a couple of minutes.

Pine in Midnight Sun
I've been thinking about what would be appropriate to upload. The last days of terror in Europe and the Middle East were all over the news. A midnight sun impression seems to be a good choice. Now we can warm up a litle before the winter truly starts. This was one of the few nights in july that the mosquitoes were abundant. So a tripod and setting a timer was necessary. Then I had to run and tried to lure the mosquitoes away from the camera. Even then the spot healing brush tool was used extensively afterwards.

Ferry
Back to my 'roots'. This is one of my earlier uploads to Panoramio. I was just beginning with this photosite and I was trying out hdr editing as well. Alright, I know it is not a great photo-technical result. But it gives an impression of the magnificent nature of northern Norway.

Grense Jakobselv - The end of the road -
Now it is celebration time with a sour aftertaste. Today I reached 1,5 million views on Panoramio http://www.panoramio.com/user/6685358 . Because of all the problems with Google and their treatment of Panoramio and its users I had my last upload a couple of months ago. For that reason I publish my last PA upload here on Ipernity. It is a panoramic view of the land/sea-scape at the top point of Grense Jakobselv https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grense_Jakobselv looking east at the Norwegian-Russian border. You see Russia in the far end of this picture. The image contains 4 HDR edited photographs (a total of 12 pictures). This picture is part of a little panorama project I had this summer.

Finding Way
These signposts were put up (1896-1898) after a tragedy where people died during a snowstorm. These signposts are along the old road between Kautokeino and Alta in Finnmark, northern Norway. They are now considered as national heritage. Dramatic sky and weather in summer and winter are prominent on the tundra.
