Rattlesnakes Mating
I decided to post a few more photos of the Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes we saw mating in the Hidden Valley area of Joshua Tree National Park. Their mating ritual was a kind of weird hypnotic dance in which they more and more twisted around each other. I've posted so many photos of this because it was something I'm sure few have seen and which I never expect to see again.

Thank you also for your comments about my droplet photography...and actually, the reason you see green is because it's the angle of the windshield behind the wipers where the droplets were photographed. The light shining through makes the glass show a green hue, and honestly I had no idea that the pictures would look so cool! :D Gotta love those surprises! Our truck is red that leans a bit towards orange. I personally hate the color with a passion--I prefer a red leaning towards the blue spectrum--but who cares in the end, can't see the color when we're driving somewhere! :D
I'm sorry your wife still has the flu...it's just awful being sick like that. Steve and I have been incredibly healthy on Keto...no colds, no flu, no inflammation, etc, etc. But I do remember about 15 years ago when we went shopping on Xmas eve and the salesperson we talked to was obviously sick and coughed right in front of us. Literally a couple of hours later we started going downhill. Deathly sick on Xmas...we could hardly get up to care for Pumpkin or go to the bathroom...haven't been that sick since either of us had been kids. I'm sure your wife didn't get THAT flu, our temps were 103...yikes...nearly hospital emergency room bad, though we couldn't have driven if we tried. Took two weeks to recover. Ugh. Flu...it's so horrible.
Hope she's better soon, snow shoeing awaits! :)
