Winter Camping

This was taken on my recent snowshoeing excursion to Artist's Point and at the top. We often see campers up there when snowshoeing and though we have not tried it ourselves would like to do so. This man has just set up his tent on top of the snow but very often a group of campers will dig out an area five or six feet deep and set up camp in it in order to be out of the wind. It was a quiet day when this photo was taken.
