Wood Bison Calf

Taken in Elk Island National Park in Alberta by my wife. Elk Island is east of Edmonton and has a small herd of Wood Bison, Bison bison athabascae, which are larger than the Plains Bison and much more rare.

Wow wonderful and beautiful! I don't think I've ever seen one! San Francisco has Plains Bison in Golden Gate Park, such fun to look at. These are beautiful in the meadow setting. Thanks for sharing!
