Black Twinberry
This is a native shrub that has small yellow flowers in late spring and early summer followed by these shiny black berries (inedible) with their red bracts. The botanical name of the shrub is Lonicera involucrata and it is in the Honeysuckle family. The photo is my wife's, taken along the Yellowhead Highway in British Columbia as we traveled to Edmonton.
