Trondheim - Nidarosdom
Die Nidarosdom ist die größte Kathedrale Nordeuropas, Nationalheiligtum und Krönungskirche der norwegischen Könige. Die Gründung einer Vorgängerkirche geht auch auf das 997 zurück. Nach Verfall in Mittelalter und Neuzeit wurde die Kirche zwischen 1869 und 1930 (Weihung des Gotteshauses) umfangreich saniert.
Beeindruckend an der Westfassade mit dem Hauptportal sind die gewaltige Fensterrose und die Vielzahl von Skulpturen.
