My grandson talks about discovering he's allergic to fish - his tongue tingles. He is very disappointed by this, because he loves fish and tells me how he cooks it. No more fish for him, and probably no more shellfish, either. ☹
He was leaving for college the next day and we were going to a family barbecue.

The FBI and all other law enforcement agencies are on high alert for more violence, even organized militia-type attacks. There continues to be lots of online "chatter" among right-wing groups. This will be with us for quite some time, but we now have a government willing and able to forcefully deal with it. We are all half-expecting some attempt by trump to go out with a bang. Personally, I'm just hoping he blasts off.
One great relief is that Trump is banned from Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook. Those social platforms have been scared into finally taking their responsibilities seriously.

A tiny video from an old phone, about 2011.
It's at Diamond Lake, west of Klamath Falls, a
favorite campground for several generations.

This is an accidental 4-second movie. In spring/summer I will probably have a knee replacement, but until then I am inside a lot finding things to do.
I found this trusty old owl puppet in the back of my closet. It was given to me by my clinical supervisor when I was finished with my internship at a children's mental health clinic in California. I had decided not to continue with children's mental health and she was trying to talk me into applying for a permanent position. If the job was specifically to work with autism spectrum kids, I would have done so.
This fluffy owl served a good purpose years later when my granddaughter would spend the night with me. Snowy was her sleep buddy and sometimes read a bedtime story to her.

He said Reba is a good prospect for herding competitions. There are so few sheep in this area that opportunities for ranch herding are rare. I can't figure out what he's doing with the flag-type thing, here.

There seems to be a sort of highway from one group of ducks to another. The coots (I can see 3-4, here) patrol alongside it and often chase away ducks that head toward the "wrong" group. That's the way I saw it, anyway, during my unscientific observation. Coots are so aggressive that I think if their protective behavior was about food supply, they would have chased the shore ducks away, too.
I tried to capture the coots chasing and shrieking at ducks, but they stopped as soon as I turned on my camera.
Any waterfowl experts in the house?
