Sorry, Kiiti

Sorry, Kiiti
A $1.00 version of something our friend kiiti might eat in a restaurant.
I haven't eaten any, yet, so can't say whether it's decent for a dollar.

One of my pet dislikes food-wise is any form of pot noodle!
My first and only brush with the horrid things came as follows:
A week long climbing trip in the English Lake District in May 1985 with a few friends, staying in the campsite near the Old Dungeon Ghyll pub, Great Langdale. Our newest member was Phil, an ex - navy cook and we were persuaded to leave the catering side of things to him. We each gave him £10 (those were the days) and when I helped carry his stuff from the car, I remember thinking that the food bags seemed rather light.
Our first evening and Phil said "OK, let's eat" He got out the camping gas stove and put on a large pan of water. Then he delved into the food bag and proceeded to hand a pot noodle to each of us.
We looked at each other as our jaws hit the ground.
He had supplies of pot noodles for each of us for three meals a day for a week.
I had never had one before so was intrigued. But I found my first mouthful totally disgusting and spat it out.
We (expensively) ate in the pub thereafter!
I have never had a pot noodle since!

Ugh! I made a lengthy and - of course - fascinating reply. It was there last night and not there tonight. That seems to be happening more, lately. The gist of it was that 1980s instant ramen was mostly watery flavoring and noodles. I add a lot of extra vegetables. I think it's improved a lot since then. Anyway, see what I mean about the fascination factor?

Happens to me too! But that is probably because I hit 'delete' instead of 'save', or something!
A shame. I would have loved to have read your fascinating thoughts on the Pot Noodle! If you should perchance recollect them and feel the necessity of putting pen to paper once more (sorry, finger to key) then I would be intrigued!!

I would not be surprised if I smashed Cancel instead of Reply. But, I'm pretty sure I didn't. What am I saying? I can't be sure of anything!

There was another flavor that translated to "salt." Maybe it was also chicken flavor. I don't know. I decided I would rather have "soy flavor" than "salt flavor." Haha!
