It seems to me that blues has dropped out of sight. Not surprising, but certainly disappointing. Or, it could be that I just don't hear it played on the local Public Broadcasting station. The San Francisco station had a regular blues program.

Hurt is a good name for such a person of an ethnic group who was hurt for such a long time...

Haha! Thanks, Rapi. He's not exactly blues now, but I know what you mean. He has written the musical scores for dozens of movies, very successful. This was his most bluesy album (1972): www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtW8RkI3-c4
