Thanks a million! By the way, "par excellence" is adopted as part of the English language, so your French sentence translated to "Black and white photo par excellence!" There are many examples of that for French (but I can't think of one right now). English speakers are not shy about adopting foreign words. If you sneeze, everyone here will say "Gesundheit!" Etc, etc.
